Drawing a Chalk Borderline around Little Saigon: A field expedition into Little Saigon
with Katina Papson and World Savvy.

First, we read an article about how Little Saigon first became recognized as a San Francisco neighborhood, and then we talk about the purpose of separate neighborhoods within a city.

Next we walk around the neighborhood making a chalk border line around Little Saigon. Students observe carefully looking for clues about where to draw the chalk outline, and together, they agree where Little Saigon ends and where the surrounding neighborhoods begin.
